Welcome to Motherhood! You have been through the most powerful transformation of your body, mind, priorities, relationships and emotions. Physically you have altered, and mentally you now have the enormous and often at times daunting responsibility of protecting and nurturing your new baby.

A postnatal yoga practice will help you regain your strength, ease anxiety associated with caring for your totally dependent newborn, enjoy your baby and give you time to do something for yourself as you accept your beautiful and amazing body.


This practice emphasises abdominal and pelvic floor toning while addressing areas of common tension in the neck, shoulders, wrists and back body. A postnatal class can be practised when your bub is napping or when your bub is awake. Your bubba can lie beside you and also be involved in the poses as you have some fun and enjoy creative bonding time. Your practice is also about giving back to you - Mothering the Mother. A guilt-free time of self-love, nurturing, acceptance and care. Please ensure you have had your post-six-week check-up and doctor’s approval before returning to the mat or resuming any exercise. The class is suited to babies aged six weeks to ten months.
